pipe for RB S5?
i plan to change from e-buggy to nitro-offroad (i fell in love with the 808:blush:). for a start i#m looking for a reliable, not too difficult to tune engine with a smooth powerband.
i have a RB-dealer 5 min from my home so i thought that i will try one of these and the S5 seems to be a good choice. but i have no idea what pipe will fit this engine best. any advice? thanks! |
The most recommended pipe is the RB 2045 or if you want a little more bottom end, the 2020.

at first i planned to get a motorbox with the 2045 pipe, but here in the forum is so much talk about jp-3, jp-4, 2050, 2060, 1005, 086 ....
after reading about these pipes i was not sure if the 2045 is the best solution. |
I run a jp2 on mine and its great.. med-high pipe..
|
I have one thats modded and used the JP-4 and it worked very well
|
Im running the JP-3 on my S5 and I love the power. Fuel economy could be better though. 8 Min is pushing it.
|
thanks for your answers! what about the fuel consumption with the 2045 compared to the JPs? big difference?

Hey
the reason that the RB pipe is recommended is because it is made specifically for the RB engines by RB. They spend thousands of dollars in research to get a good pipe so im 100% certain the 2045 pipe is the right one for the job. My Mate has a C6 with the 2045 and he can get 10:30 consistently and close to 12 mins when he is pushing it. hope this helps. |
10:30 - 12min is a good argument! thanks. i will get the 2045.

+1 on the 2045, I have one on my s7 lg2 and its very good
