I just thought I would start a thread since I didnt see one so far. Anyone have one of these motors? How much are they? Where can you get them?

From the looks of it they might not have a US distributor yet.

SIIM Engines are made by Star motor(Sirio). I havent figured out of they are designer engines or made to SIIM's specs like RB and Novarossi.

i wonder if gthey are taking the design of the new sirio and using it, i have always been a big fan of the sirio engine, i ran them for years in onroad, great bottom and screamin top, anyone see a US price on them yet. or who may be selling them.

yeah like i said, not sure if they are just rebadged sirio engines or if they are just contracted by sirio to SIIMs specs. I dont think there is a US Distributor, cant say for certain because they dont list any distributors.

Definately dont quote me on this but when I checked I believe to be a distributor you had to buy 50+ engines up front. They never told me what the cost would be for each motor and I never asked cause even if they were $100 each that would be $5000 and I dont have that kinda money laying around. If your interested email them and they will send you the details, if you do decide to sell them let me know as I wanna try one.

You are spot on here mate , they require a 50 motor order to become a distributer and that is the same for Australia, which has a much smaller market then the USA , I do have a price list somewhere... They will supply shops with smaller orders until they get a distributer but the price goes up... I spoke directly with Oscar Garcia , to me a very reasonable man.....

hi guys,

am running a SIIM engine on my Kyosho MP9, its the PGRs21B (tuned) with a SIIM pipe. since i live in Kuwait, we have a local dist here and i was first to buy it ,try and win with it the engine is great and, durable and delivers constant power, massive lowend power even when very rich. topend is another storey, it screams like crazy, you feel like your running super lean but when you check the temp, you will be amazed that you are still under the 220F barrier i run it with 30% nitro shimmed at 0.9mm and a cold OS plug (P8). i dont think i will ever switch my MP9's engine to other engine than SIIM. also its not mentioned on the site i think but the rear bearing is a ceramic one. been on the podium 4 weeks in a row and ranked 2nd in the overall ranking behind my team mate who runs a 777WC/ SIIM powered too

cheers

Ali
