I would STRONGLY suggest staying away form go techs and vspec. Both are cheap and both are ok engines but reality is they just dont last long.

I would recommend for your price to look at

1)grp,ninja(old version) or my personal favorite falcon
2)Any RB or NovaRossi
3)os engines just not the vspec

Just trust me stay away from go tech and vspecs. If you ignore my advice let me know when you hit the 10+ gallon mark how well you like them.

Also remember that when someone makes a recommendation, and they have that recommendation listed as a sponsor on their signature line, that maybe they arent giving you true factual unbiased info.

Amain has the RB c6 btt on sale for 339.99. i have the regular version and its a sweet engine. it is still running strong even after my nooby time with it (was my first new engine) i have a few gallons on it and it is still a great engine. you can tune it to get pretty good milage as well.

Werks B7 pro.

Great motor, same power as OS Speed and the new line of motors are equipped with ceramic bearings front and rear. Good long life span out of these motors.

+2 on rb's. I use to have vpecs and I really didnt like them. Made decent power but they are short lived. I now have a rb s7 l2g, I only have 3/4 gallon on it so far but it flies. And it still has tons of pinch. It holds a tune very good and it is easier to tune than my vpecs I had so far. You can buy the engine much cheaper than 300.00. As a matter of fact I bought mine from amain hobbies for I think 340.00 and that was with the 2045 pipe and header. But they sell the engine for 269.00. Very hard to beat this engine for the price

I just made this choice last week and for a little over $300 it was a no brainer to get the nova plus 5.

I havent got more then 4 gallons on a vspec, and i have had 3 of them, 1 being a speed.

Never get them hotter then 230, and the mechanical pinch is got after 3 gallons. After that, they dont idle well. And its not me, i have a 2 year old picco p3 team turbo with 8 gallons and i still need to use a heat gun.

I am going to try the grp in my buggy, but the speed in my truggy is already done, with 3 gallons, so i am either going to get it repinched or try out a RB C6BB.

My vote, the GRP 21 the one I have in my 8T moves it absurdly fast, with a nice linear power delivery to really high revs

I dont believe I listed anyone in particular as to my comment. I simply stated that if a person is sponsored by a particular product they are by contract required to run/represent/and recommend the product. Now that doesnt mean that every sponsored person is a liar, it just simply means that they may or may not have a bias. Thus when looking for recommendations on products I try to get info from the normal everyday racer too.

Sorry if I offended anyone its just my opinion.

then you really dont know how to properly tune and break in a motor. I have a vspec that is pushind 6 gallons right now and still running stong. My lasy vspec lasted me a whole year (i run all year arround) that had about 9-10 gallons on it before it started to ghost flame.

i have about three gallons on my vspec and still TONS of pinch.so when someones says they only get a gallon or two before needing repinched must not know how to break in an engine and tune it.
