Mixedguy- There's not a 2-peice quick change type engine mount for the SX8 that I know about... if that's what you're asking... Sure would be nice though..hint, hint

JRock - 7-7-1? How do you like that? Do you find that the front pulls more out of a turn? How does the rear end do with this setup? Do you have a setup sheet you could share?

Tony x2 on the Truggy Setup please.

Thanks Guys
Carlos

Carlos. I like it a lot. I was driving it on our track b4 watering it and it was hooking up well. The car was pushing a bit on power and a friend suggested I go up in diff fluid. The has worked well.
I have a pdf-word program, but i cannot convert the sx8 set up sheet. I was able to convert the mugen pdf sheet. Ill just print off a blank one and scan it. I will do it in the morning.

Cool thanks Jordan..... I started out with 3/5/1 but I'm now at 4/5/1 - I've got a big race this weekend with a full day of practice Friday so I'll experiment with it.

I am still running 3,5,1 in the diffs and like it on med to loose tracks

5,7,2 works better on higher bite tracks

I run 50 losi oil in front

40 losi oil rear

The first time I drove the car was at an out of town race with a really loose track. I used Tony's base set up and it was all over the place. I lowered the shock oil to make it hook up better, shortened the wheelbase (makes a huge difference for me) and running a long camber link (inside hole, 2nd from bottom on tower and upper outside hole on hub carrier). The front is the same as base set up other than running 3 hole in the ackerman. O, i also put 21* caster...
Hope this helps. I used to run 7/5/1 in my R to get more "pull" instead of "push" and it worked well. I might try it in my sx8 and see what it does. If your on a loose track, try running the short wheelbase. I put it back to the middle and it was loose. Changed it back to short and couldn't believe how much it changed the car. That little 1mm clip mad all the difference in the world. IMO. So 1 change can do a lot.

Carlos- -2 all around. If its real loose, u might try -1. I forgot to mention the reason i switched to 7/7 in the front and center was the car seemed to push in a certain area of our track. It was an off camber turn. We also have astro turf in a corner and before 1 jump. When Pucci was in England for the Panther race, he raced on it and said it rocked. So tried it out at our track Its pretty cool.

Luther- I spoke with Steve Kriete at Checkered Flag and the conversation was positive. I'm going to take the car by and let him check it out. He said he would give Jesse a call if he's interested.

All ready for the big race this weekend. The "Harvest Classic" is held at Rescue RC Speedway, in Rescue, CA. Last I went to to watch... (before I had any 1/8th Nitro cars or even raced) I got the chance to see those buggies and truggys on the track and I was hooked.. One year later here I am entered up in both classes! The race has a 150 entry cap, as of today there are 121 confirmed entries. Friday Practice, Saturday 3-Rounds of Quals, Sunday - Mains. I can't wait!!!
