This past weekend I was able get my new SX8 Evo out at the Canadian Indoor shootout in Tillsonburg, Ontario.
The buggy was fast all weekend, and I ran the Buggy in its stock form most of the weekend,.
I finally changed the shock oil ( 35wt ae oil in the front and 25 wt ae oil in the rear) and springs(optional soft) and was able to get a little more traction on the extremely cold hard packed surface.
I ended up qualifing 8th overall in a very fast class of 1/8 buggy racers.
Sunday I did not have luck on my side and was victum of the hackem up start and ended up last (14th) over the line and 3/4 of a lap down after getting back on my wheels.
by the end of the race I did manage to get to work up to 9th.
the buggy is very easy to drive , and it turned a lot of heads as it is so smooth and fast, and to make the A main with it first time out , with the drivers that were at this race ... speaks tons for the car that we have in our hands!!

The stock body is indeed cab forward already, but not extremely forward with a flat-bed El Camino look...thank God.
Since the buggy was just recently released, Derek you may be the first to experiment with aftermarket bodys. I wouldn't run anything but the stock body. It costs less, and has a high flow narrow profile designed to carry air most efficiently to the wing for this car.
For rx pack I use a losi 2amp 7.4v lipo flat pack. It lays flat in my bat box, with room for sponge.

I will also order the Losi flat pack. I wonder if the Protek flat lipo I have fits....

I was wondering the same thing...just something different to try!
Well i measured the stock sx8 evo body and it came out at 7"3/8 in. wide
And measured my old bulldog body from my D8 it came out at 8"in. wide
I personally think that the body's for the mbx-6 will fit.The buggy looks like a mix of a mbx-6 and a losi.My two favorite buggy's !!
