Just got a set of the 16mm Big bores in! They look awesome and well made. Will be trying them out soon on one of my other R/C's. I am still waiting for my buggy too and sure it will be nice. I am going to start carrying SX8 parts real soon at www.holeshothobbies.com so check the site often for updates.

well i had my first club race with the buggy last night with the SX8 and it was dialed! From the start the thing was hooking up and turning grate. I started to have some off power push but then i looked it over and took out some front brake and that helped allot! I took the car out to get the bugs worked out before next weekend for our 2nd heat of the AZ nitro cross. During the main, i turned it up and man it felt like it was on rails! i was on TQ pace and wasn't looking back until my motor decided to flame out. through it back on the box, splash of fuel and started right up and i was off! i set a the tracks fasted lap time of 20.349 ish! it was in the low 20's! i was extremely happy about that! during the night it was mainly losi 8ights out their and one jammin. The flame out cost me to get a lap down but in the end i was extremely happy with the results and am pleased to say i got 3rd for coming back and lapping people!

Well I just got back from my first big race weekend with my SX8, and what a weekend it was. In qualifying nothing would go my way, engine issues and a loose screw cost me in every run so I got stuck at the bottom of the C-main. I managed to bump my way all the way to the A. The A was 45 minutes long and after about 30 minutes I managed to take over the lead when the leader had receiver issues. With 3 minutes to go I broke a ball end but it was still intact enough for me to finish the run, unfortunately I lost the lead while my car was being repaired. Still managed to finish 2nd though. The car was absolutely dialed! It reacted beautifully to each change and considering the beating I gave the thing all weekend I am very impressed!

What style of clutch comes with the kit? 3 or 4 shoe carbon or composite I guess not aluminum shoes. Is the stock bell ready for aluminum shoes? Or do you have to get another bell and if so which brand works?

The car comes with a 3 shoe composite clutch stock....... aluminum shoes wont harm the bell.

I am using the M2C system as stated in a previous post, with the stock TQ clutch bell. It's been a solid set up for me

Rob and I had a very interesting weekend at the Annual Action Hobbies Summer Thunder Race . I could not make it to the track until Sunday and Rob couldent get a decent qualifier in . We started from the bottom of the C main and after 3 or 4 laps we were running 1 and 2 . We bumped into the B and Rob ran away with it . It took me a little while but I worked my way through traffic into the number 2 spot . We ran that way for a while but unfortunately my glow plug did not want to race anymore . Even though I flammed with almost 2 minutes to go I still finished 3rd in the B and Rob had checked out to win the B . He went on to the A and had a very consistant run and in the end he finished a strong second . I was extremely impressed on how durable these cars are . This track had some very rough bumps and jumps and the cars held up very well . My SX8 has had roughly 4 gallons run through it and all that has broken so far is a rear outer tie rod end . I am very pleased with the performance and durability of this car .
