Default Truggy

Hey Everyone,

Just got the truggy finished yesterday, sent some pics to Luther and Chill. Hopefully then can post them on here soon, my comp will not let me post them on here for some reason.

Going to a family get together now, will post tonight full details of the build.

Happy Fathers Day!

I have two MP777 WC one is a WC Plus the other is a WC with TDC diff thru the whole car. My son runs the TQ SX-8.5 car if you read my past post it explains the 8.5 version. The Sx-8 is a solid car the car truns on a dime it's a tank not heavy as a tank but durable as a tank. The Plastics on the SX-8 are stronger then the kyosho plastics. My sons first SX-8 he got in Feb 2008 and till I built him the SX-8.5 in May of this year he has never broken any plastics on the car. In the Kyosho's I run all aluminum blocks so that makes it a bit heavier. The Kyosho dose not trun as well Sx-8 rear shock towers on the Kyosho are weaker. If you get the SX-8 09 verison just change out the rear plastic block to aluminum. The SX-8 jumps better and is more stable comeing out of corners then the Kyosho. I love the SX-8 so much that I'm going to run my sons old 2008 verison after a year just changed out all plastic arms and block inserts and the buggy is ready to go. Sorry Kyosho your cars are just going to collect dust for now. As for parts all you need are replacement arms and plastic block inserts and maybe rear plastic hubs thats it. Hope I was able to help in you changeing over to the SX-8. As for parts being shipped out I'v always gotten my parts 2 or 3 days after ordering
my parts from RCprocenter. One thing I left out is the price can't beat the price, just because a car is more in price dosen't make it better!!! You pay for Kyosho and all the top name pro drivers at the end.

Page 125 explains on this thread 8.5 version

Guys as for Liam he is in New York City for the summer with his mom. He'll be back in September to kick some butt in pro buggy class.

Awesome.....fast and lots of fast sweeping turns. Not really a real technical track, but a real challenge to drive consistent with the traction that is available. I ran in outlaw truggy this weekend.....first real time to go againist some of the big boys on the cullman track. Was really alot of fun. Was hoping Brian would have stuck around, he had a fast buggy.

I have 2 questions:

Is there a big quality difference between the casting steering knuckle and the 7075 CNC steering knuckle?

So is the casting knuckle durable enough or is it better to take the CNC one?

And did anyone test the plastik chassis braces from the RTR Buggy?
Maybe you have more chassisflex and it is easier to drive?

I run the plastic braces, work great. I also run the cast knuckles with zero issues.

We are currently using the cast knuckles with no problems also. I have not tried the plastic braces yet.
