Sweet thanks I will let you know. Thanks Brian i will try a few things and see what I can come up with. I broke another shock shaft today, have to get it apart and see where it broke but looks like it was right at the threads for the piston. Other then that the buggy worked well today. Still loose in the corners but I think some of that is throtte control hehehe. Anything will be loose in the corners if you are on the gas to hard

I Hope to get the lighter parts soon we will see I guess!

Thanks for all the help guys

I was talking to Luther earlier this week and mentioned I was going to try Mugen X5 rear hubs (not X6). I ran the hubs this weekend and they worked very well. Three things the X5 hubs allow are, 1. Longer rear camber link, the outer hole is one hole farther out, the inner hole is the same as the outer hole on the TQ part. 2. The bearing sits about 3mm lower so the axle has a lower angle, 3. The front to back spacing adjustability is increased by about 2mm.

You have to grind 1mm off each side of the outer ball since the mounting space is smaller.

I had some of these laying in my parts box and started comparing the TQ part to the X5 part and thought I would try them, but would like some 2nd opinions.

The wear on the X5 part is better too.

My setup.

Rear
Link, lowest/inner on the tower, outer upper on the X5 hubs, hubs in the bottom hole.
Shocks, Middle upper on the tower, inner on the arm 32.5wt Fusion oil, stock pistons, Silver springs
3.5 Toe, but will probably change to 3, 3 antisquat.
2000 in rear diff

Center 5000, fiberglass brakes.

Front.
Link, Middle on the hub Center on the tower.
20 degrees Caster
4000 diff
Shocks, Center on the tower, outer on the arms. 40wt Fusion,
1 degree toe out per side.

F/R ride ht, 27mm.

Down travel. Chassis on a 40mm wheel, measured from the wheel hex
40mm front, 42mm rear.

Tires, AKA City Block Med(Blue)

Good run Brian and Doc. Wish I could have came but I had to work. My buggy was good today. It was a little loose but loose is fast and on the edge of out of control. I TQed and won. It was a good day in Bama for TQ. Hope to take it to the Pro Series next weekend.

Great weekend for the Tq Guys Paul Snyder of Mount Joy Pa goes on to TQ and win the Memorial Day Bash at Extreme Rc.

Paul said his Sx8 09 ran flawless all weekend long.

Greensboro native Roy J finished 7th at the 3rd leg of the Carolina points series.

Kevin Donohue of Toronto Canada picked up and SX8 and went out to his first race and finished 2nd saying the car didn't mis a beat all day.

Thanks

Doc, are you racing the Pro Series? I didn't see your name or I might have missed it. Nevermind, I see it.

For bodies, I had a chance to mount up the stock body last week. It fits perfect and looks good. You can't go wrong with it.

Hi guys,

anyone tested the new carbon shock towers?

The front tower does not really look durable.
What is the experience on the track?
