Shock silver in the front 45wt Green in back 25wt Rear ride hight 27mm Frt 26mm stock piston size not sure what comes on the pro roller

Have you used any of the setups on Losi's site?

I would start with one of the setups listed here:

http://www.losi.com/Products/Support...rodID=LOSK0800

I actually started with Adam's setup for the The Dirt track, but I would try his "Stable and Easy To Drive" setup for starters. Then tweak from there.

I've heard that's a good all-around setup that works well on just about any track.

Robby, email me @ [email protected]

I'll email ya some super easy to drive setups that the losi team has been working on.

I drove it and it was really good. I think it would work well for a sportsman driver.

I wou;d say run 5000, 5000, 2000 in the diffs (from front to rear)

I'd say run 45 wt in front shocks, and 40 wt in the rear

I would try 40 wt. front shocks, drilled 54 pistons, silver springs
32.5 wt. rear shocks, drilled 55 pistons, green springs.
This is from the Drake Neo '08 set-up. This what I run. If you run too light of diff oils, then the diff. may spool up too much.

Billy what a small world,I was thinking of giving Jason a call today. When I raced the A Main at WCRC my 8 felt really loose. It also seems like my my new GRP has finally loosened up and it was really running strong. I am running tomorrow at the farm and figured since I have it all tore down I would try some different things.

Thanks for the flanged bearings tell the other guys hay. Our you guys going to Psycho Nitro Blast?

It will diff out/unload the inside tire. Handling will be eratic and in-consistant.

The 55 drilled, 32.5 wt. rear shock combination is more forgiving then the 56 25 wt. set-up.

Default Rear hub spacers

I was looking at the set-up on the Losi page
"Losi 8ight Roller Stable and Easy to Drive" it says 2 spacers behind the rear hub. Wouldn't putting the spacers in front of the rear hub make it more stable? Correct me if 'i am wrong but putting them in front of the rear hub would extend the wheel base?

we had this exact conversation at wilkes last weekend.....one guy said shortening the wheelbase puts the rear tires up under the car more and would produce more rear traction(easyer to drive).......but the 2.0 manual says lengthening the wheelbase would make the car more stable......so im not positive.....i run my hubs all the way back...spacers in the front of the hub.....maybee some of the other guys that have been responding can shed some light.......

from 8 1.0 manual

Wheel Base: Shorter wheelbase (spacers behind the rear hubs) increases on-power traction, rear weight transfer, and has more off-power
steering. Shorter wheelbase is better on tight or slick tracks. Longer wheelbase (spacers in front of the rear hubs) decreases off-power steering.
Longer wheelbase is more stable, better in bumps, and has more on-power steering.

if the track is dry slick you may want to try it both ways to see what suits you best
