changing nitro evader spoilers
hello all I have a nitro bx evader and was wondering how do I change the spoiler fin on the back of it. I have the spoiler and the metal posts that hold it onto the rest of the body but not sure how to get the posts off of the fin itself to change it.

I don't run mine off road I run it on black top. also I am kind of new to the rc car hobby as it stands. It looks like it requires an alan's key to take loosen the things that hold the metal frame to the polycarbonate spoiler. but how big.

Im not 100% sure about your car, but mine (and probably most out there) will either require a 1.5mm or a 2mm allen key to take it off.
id recommend getting a set of these: http://carolinasrc.com/Webstore/Scri...idproduct=4949
or one of these:

I have a multiple allen key tool like the one you show but none of the ones on mine seem to fit... is there a spot where it says what size the key is?

It should say in the instruction book of your car.
do you find that the 2mm key is too small, but the 2.5 is too big?

new approach
I bought new posts for the spoiler... I think since it was an ready to run car that they overtightened the set screws at the factory and they were stripped as it is. I figure with the new screws and posts I should be fine. Thanks for your advice.

So did you ever get it working?
what was stripped, the head of the screw or the threads?

I didn't actually try the posts out yet. I plan to try it tonight. and when the kit was put together they tightened the screw too much at the factory so I think the head of the set screw was stripped. would they include an alans key with the posts? or would that be something you would have to get separately... I will obviously know by tonight but since I am not in front of the parts I figured I would avoid an extra surprise.lol
