I raced the Hyper7 Pro when it came out for about a year before I stopped racing. The car ran great, and was very durable. I have so many spare parts for it still that I was strongly considering just getting another one and racing it for awhile, but decided to get a new car instead.

I have a TON of NIB spares for it if you are interested.

Shocks shafts (lots)
Hinge Pins (2 sets)
F&R arms
F&R hubs
F&R shock towers (2 sets)
Steering Kunckles (2 sets)
Torsen center diff
Shock boots and shock hardware

--and a lot more.

Im still racing a hyper 7, had it for 3-4 years and never have I broken a part. Only replaced things due to slop. It isnt as light, as newly designed, or as expensive as others but if you put adam drake behind the wheel of a h7, he would still kill us around the track.

Probably one of the strongest buggies to be released. Very heavy, turning circle isn’t great even with a heavy duty steering servo, tends to push a fair bit… and the suspension geometry has had its day… I think the PCR pro as a kit came with both PBS and C-hub style suspension, if that’s the case the PBS is stronger but lacks steering, the C-hub offers greater steering…

Ya that's a great buggy, has plenty of everything for racing. Make sure to keep many many extra shock shafts though as they break really easy.

There is an easy way to make them more durable. Cut about 3 threads off so that the threaded area is completely covered by the rod end. That substancially increases their life expectancy. You will only break one if you do something really stupid.

Check what shocks come with the kit. Hobao released a 3.5 shock shaft with the hyper7. That pretty much solved the problem with the shocks snapping.

other than that its an extrememly durable car and handles pretty well. I had the c hub version though

Anybody got a link to a good starting setup for a hyper 7 pbs? I know a guy getting into racing and he hasn't been able to find much setup info on the car.

Hey trx, do you race your car? Have you found a good setup that he can work off of? I didn't find any whole setups there, and the link for the manual no longer worked. Would actually like to use the setup the car calls for out of the box so I can help him make changes from there.

I dont race my nitro car but i have had it at the track and i got it to handle quite well, if i can i can try to find the stock setup sheet for it and i have a alternative set up for PBS cars that i got off of the Ofna site that someone said worked real well and that is what my car is setup at now and it works and turns well.
