Default Vantage Carbon Pipe??

I have been using a JP-4 on my Sportwerks 26V2 and am getting tired of replacing them everytime somebody runs over me. Has anyone tried the Vantage Carbon High End pipe? ExtremeRC mag seems to think highly of it's durability. They put it against a RB 086 on the dyno and it had a little more bottom and mid but a little less top on the top. I am new to R/C and don't know how a 086 pipe compares to my JP-4. Help

Jammin's are some of the toughest pipes made...

First off, I should have mentioned that any pipe, be it Jammin,OS,RB whatever, is going to take a bashing where I am racing due to alot of inexperienced drivers, myself included. The pipes aren't breaking, they just usually end up with several good dents. Twice I have been hit just right on the stinger and due to it being braced so well it has folded the pipe in pretty good. I hope I worded that where you could understand it. We have been racing on a pretty fast oval. I am not bragging but I am usually one of or the fastest and get hit in the left side from others driving to deep into the corner. I know some will say tell the others to settle down but we are having fun and it's mostly unintentional(everybody has drove into a corner to hard because they didn't want to get passed)

you can fill it with water, put it in the freezer and knock those dents out usually....

ive never used a Vantage, but i cant see it being stronger than the JP's

Freeze it and knock the dents out? With a nylon hammer perhaps?

Default Vantage Pipe

Hey guys get the vantage carbon pipe..yes it is costly..But will be better
than your stock pipe any day..You can even hit your stock pipe with the
vantage pipe if you wish..You will only dent your stock pipe up..should be no
damage to you vantage pipe..This was done live also...So I say go for it

try using a coiled pipe retainer, that may just save your pipe when something hits your.

The JP-4 comes with a coiled retainer,it is still pretty stiff though. Is the GWK Spring Thing better?

Freezing the pipe worked. It popped every dent in it out. I wish I would have taken somes pics it had some gnarly dents especially where it got hit on the stinger and folded in an inch and a half or more. Great tip Imaxx21.
