Default Traxxas Bandit VXL Body

Hi. I know I'm posting in the nitro forum, but I do have a coment for JConcepts. I recently purchased a Traxxas Bandit VXL to play around with. I also purchased a JConcepts body for it. When painting the wing I noticed that the protective film is on the underside. I would prefer to paint the underside of the wing as the instructions say. Is there a reason you're putting the film on this way, or is this an error on someone's part?

Thanks

Newell, if you are carefull to cut cleanly and completely, the film is a great mask material!

^ Just between us! Shhhhhh, lol.

Paint overspray will rarely go up into the wing when painting it from the underside and they pull better in the mold when done they way you noticed.
Pulling them the opposite way(Into the mold, rather then over it), leaves for a more stretched less consistant product sometimes.

Andy- What tires and compound are most recommended for indoor, high-traction clay for 1:8 Buggy? Thanks

We dont have a specfic tire for that, but I would give Blue Double Dee's a shot and see how they compare to what you currently run. Its hard to give an exact estimate on how they will work as all the indoor clays are pretty different.

Hey Andy, I've been waiting for the Half-up truggie wheels
to get back in stock at A-Mains and looking forward to the
0-offset LPR size wheels. But after reading that the owner
of the Truggieracers site, Chris, has had three out of four
of his Half-up wheels crack within a few weeks of racing
and just waiting to see when they finaly break. I am wondering
if this is the reason they have not been restocked so fast and
why the 0-offsets have not been released yet? I thought you
guys were going to make a better rim than the Proline rims and
I was realy looking forward to running your rims. But now I just
don't know what to think.

The 0 offset are still in the works, but often we show our products long before they are ready to be released to keep people in the "know" about our most recent developments. I havent really heard of any issues related to the rims cracking, and I dont think Chris contacted us (if he did, I wasnt aware) to get a possible replacement. If you do have a problem, which I doubt you will, we are behind our customers.

Maifield has run our wheels at the Nationals, Nitro Challenge, and at Silver State without incedent (and he is the most punched guy out there).

I tried the yellow Cross Hair with the RULUX rims, the tires were great, I need to try the Goose, but for the moment I will stick with the Cross Hair.

I will try to get a picture of the track so you can get a better idea were we race

Have fun
