Hey Andy I have a tire question for you. I was looking for possibly a little more descriptive info on which surface a particular tire is good for.

I currrently am running at a outdoor track in Iowa. The track is clay, hard packed, dry slick and dusty. It will groove up if the owner waters it enough and there is enough drivers but normally it is what I would describe as a hardpacked dry slick. On the application chart it lists DD's,Hit Men, and Crosshairs in the blue compound all of being the best choice. Based on what I have described which tire do you think is the best choice. I have the hit men(blue) and they seemed to work good but was wondering if another one would work better?

Thanks

I think we refer to all 3 being ideal due to the compound. The better groomed the track is, the smaller the pin you can use. If it is run wet/loamy I would try to run the GooseBumps, but if its dry, then try the Crosshairs/HitMen first as they offer different steering characteristics. If the track is really dialed in, I would go to Double Dees.

Thanks Andy for the reply.

So in deciding to run hit men vs cross hairs what track conditions would you look for?
