And just to get us back on topic....man, what a great few days of racing.
well that would have probably would have been me ,my hyper broke all weekend and had no luck finding a replacement part for the drivetrain at the race had to dremel a cen driveshaft to fit , total laps for the whole weekend 2 laps but still had a blast and will be attending next years race

OK, if Tony gives the buggy to a kid, especially the one mentioned, this thread should die. It seems he was allowed to run in the wrong class which was an honest mistake on the track's behalf. I made the mistake of giving out an inappropriate prize and so on and so forth.

So, A kid a lot of you guys knows, gets a car and he will be happy and it will be awesome.

Tony gets a lot of respect at least from Caster Racing for doing the right thing and should be left alone from this point forward and when he decides to step up to the pro class (because of the rules)....maybe he should call me because he is doing the right thing for that kid. Maybe the kid will be the next Tebo....

For the most part, the race went well, had some issues, and the track people promised they would learn from the mistakes that happened this year.

So everyone, look forward to next year and support your tracks. If there are no tracks, there is no racing.

See you next year. We will be there...only better....and electric...

By the way....I demand that either you let electric run with nitro or you have a separate electric class......but that is the beginning of a whole new thread....

....and you should probably plan on a corr race class also so we can take away some prizes from sc8 drivers....they are 1/8 scale also.......lol....

See you all next year,
Mike

IMO, no one complains when you sign-up and fork over money, but to change it after seeing the results and then try to change the rules or prizes is grounds for protest.

From reading the post-race postings/bashings, sounds like the typical Big-Race problems. I think the best overall solution is to have 3 classes, Sportsman/Novice, Expert, and Pro. The first 2 years of the Futaba Nitro Challenge was held in this format and it seemed to classify most drivers correctly. You KNOW if you are a beginner! You know if you are a PRO! There rest of us are Experts!!! LOL

You guys have to remember that these are just toy cars and that we do this all for fun, right?
that is prolly the most logical comment on this thread except for the all the posts that said what a great race it was +1,000,000,000

I don't think a novice class is the answer. Its a matter of fast should run with fast, and faster run with faster (don't think anyone there is slow). The chassis rule really doesnt apply to a race like this. Drake, Tebo, and Mayfield werent there. lol.

I bet there werent enough chassis sponsored guys there to fill a A & B Pro. So the chassis agruement for this type of racing to me does not apply here. If the major pros were there and there was 50 plus chassis sponsored Drivers I could see the rule being applied.

P.S. Lopez, Pettit are Kick Ass Pro drivers, my comment is there was not that many there.
