Questions?? ofna 12v starter box battery

i got a 12v gel pack battery and a 12v wall charger for it and the charger is heating up after about 15 minutes of charge

is this normal?

how long will it take to charge?

how long will it last?

yes the wall charger will be warm as it's charging, and if it's the first time that the battery is charging then it will take about 8 to 12 hrs. to chrge. I try not to let my battery charge overnight because I can't monitor it so always charge when around it, and I always unplug it after a charge for safety reasons.
