Default Favorite 1/8 Buggy Wheel ??

Didn't what to say "BEST" but curious what guys prefer. I like OFNA, Assoc., Panther. I soak em in acetone to de-glue then use for remounts. Curious if any like the Cobra wheels or any others that hold up and glue up good.

Thanks Dan Reino

Proline or Losi.

the losi is good because the wheel diameter is larger so tires stick on them well and there is less sidewall. Proline tires glue up real nice on losi rims.

+1 for Losi because of their size.

my 2nd favorite rims are Panthers because they come in purple.

While they probably don't have the weight advantage, I like Ofna rims because of all the interesting color and webbing variations; everyone and their dog runs white or yellow dish rims, so I wanted to be different.

Has anyone ever tried the K Factory rims before? They're uber-cheap over at A Main; wanted to know if they were decent.

Couple a buddys from my local track run losi wheels and they have nothing but problems with them. The recess that goes over the hub tends to strip out causing the wheel to rotate the nut off.

I usually run pro-lines but am going to try some kyosho 5 slots.

the downside to racing with the wheels that are not "dish" is they can get dirt built up and cause the wheel to be off balance in turn throwing your cars handling off

The centrifigal force of the wheels spinning just flings the dirt out of the rim, and if you're driving in anything sticky and loamy enough to stick in the large openings of the webbing, just spray your tyres & rims with WD40 before you go out; helps to prevent any clogging.

Yep, the Cobra wheels hold up very well. I haven't had any issues with the cobra tires or wheels. I know what your thinking, that I am baised opinion, well, maybe but I wouldn't be running them if they weren't race quality!

Ah, I"d think the opposite is true. If you run dished wheels they pack up with dirt. Your going to have less dirt packed in a spoked wheel, but I don't think they are as strong as dished.

The Rulux and Wabash are very good looking wheels.

I myself run mostly Panther wheels and tires with a couple GRP premounts and Prolines thrown in the mix.
