I'm sure that this has been aswered a bunch of times but I have a turmoil that I would like to update the steering servo in. I plan to use the 590 for the throttle/brake. I don't want to spend a bunch of money. I would like to spend around $75. Is there something out there that will be an improvement out there in that price range?

They might be a little more, I can't remember, but I'm using the Futaba Brushless 451's in both throttle and steering in my buggy and loving them.

That Ace looks like about what I need. What about Hitech? I see they are in the price range that I am after. Is speed more imortant than torque. I guess my question is if i can get 30 or 40 more oz but lose .03 in speed is that favorable or noticeable. I understand that I need at least 130 oz to turn the buggy.

Sheetmetal, regardless of what people tell you, you're never going to notice that three or five one hundredths of a second between different servos. You can actually get by just fine with 120 oz of torque for steering; just make sure you set-up your servo saver spring accordingly. If the latter is set too hard, you'll toast your servo regardless of the torque rating or strip the horn.

Hitec, Associated, JR all make fine servos at a competitive price.
