+1, this is a very nice engine, the crank is not lightened but the rest of the work inside is super clean and a good value, i did a crank out of one of these for a customer and they are smokin, good linier feel and nice top end

You will be happy with the B3, very responsive on bottom and decent top for a 3 port, take good care of it and it should last a good while, not to alarm you but keep a close eye on the bearings, there has been issues with werks bearings in the past, other than that you should be good to go. Good luck

Direct quote from Ron, taken from SGrid...
"I've not realy had time to make an announce ment on this but
all of our 2008 spec engines now come stock with ceramis rear
bearings. This includes the '08 TL21B3-Pro, TL28-Pro and the TL21B7-
Pro. In addition on the B7-Pro we have changed the porting to increase
fuel economy by aprox. 45 sec-1 minute, made changes to the needles
both in taper as well as adding a second o-ring to the high speed
needle to make it a tighter, stiffer to adjust fit, plus a couple of
other things."

SteveJa, I have the jp modified fx21 5 port and it is awesome! Great run time, holds a tune awesome. Power is killer but the engine is very linear. I dont know about the place listed but the engine is awesome and I would not hesitate getting it.

I run the jp mod 5 port(black engine) in my mbx5t and it has plenty of power.

I also run a falcon engine in my hyper 8.5 and that one is awesome as well. Both engines are the best engines I have ran yet. Hope this helps.

PDLracing.com is a great place to buy all your JP parts, engines, accesories....they are a distributor of JP products in the US. I have had lots of success ordering from them for my 3 JP engines (B5Nmod, JPmod V-Spec, and Medial Pro M2K)

the engine is basically bastardized. Has the Novarossi N21B 2001BF case, with a different carb (plastic not metal, though still Nova and probably better), a filled and hardblack coated crank, and a 7 port sleeve (not sure from what engine line but could be from as far back as when they worked with Crono)...i also beleive they have done some work on the sleeve, since it is listed as a Mod Motor.

For the money, how could you resist! I am seriously considering picking one up just to have for an indoor motor.

good luck!

hmm, some of them must have come without the epoxy filled crank, i had a customer send me his Black N21 7 port JP to lighten and fill the crank, just something to check into.

mugenb46: I think that was my engine you did Brian.

Crim3Wav3: Yes, it is hard coated black. Be careful on that nova name plate on the side of the case as it comes off rather easy.

+1 on the "watch the bearings." There have been a lot of problems with the rear bearing in the Werks B3 Pro. (The B7 Pro doesn't have the same issue.)

2 of the guys that I pit with had them. One broke 2 cranks... the other shattered a piston skirt. ALL of those issues were caused by rear bearing problems. Neither of the motors had more than 4 gallons on them.

Now for about $310 the B7 Pro absolutely ROCKS! Very smooth and linear power curve, and more power overall than you'd ever need in a buggy.

The guys here running GO motors seem to like them, but I haven't ran one personally. As for the RB stuff... I don't think you can get a better built, longer lasting motor than RB. I had an old C3 that could hold it's own with the 7 ports down the straight, and those motors will hold a tune like you wouldn't believe.
