motor time....and I am cheap

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Werks TL.21b3 Pro. This is a great engine for $209. Good power and runtime. The Jammin seems like a winner for the $$'s though.

Hey steve, I was thinking. I know dangerous. Maybe you should just up your max price to $240-260?
you spent more money in engines last year than alot of guys. Just get one good one manRb lasted the longest for me, and I'm gonna buy another to back up my v-spec. I think the back up motor should be better than the one you always run.
this was from a-main
S-3II = 189.99
S-5 = 239.99
S-7 = 259.99 Had this one and it did last over 10 gallons
S-3II = 274.99 Comes with an RB 2020 Pipe
The 7 = 309.99 limited edition celebrating the S-7

The WS7 II actually has a little better bottom end. The new generation of RB just came out so you may find a good deal on the current batches.
tiltedrc.com is a good place to keep an eye out for RB and OS.

I have 2 ideas...
First one: A good low priced .21 is the OS VG. Great power when used with a JP3 and you can get one for around $150...
Second: Spend a little more and get yourself a JP FX-B5T a 5 port with major nuts! JP motors are modded Novarossi P5's... Awesome stuff! Available around here for $250...
Thats my $0.05

I watched steve race that engine all last season. Some things happened to that motor that I have never seen. Bearings loose in the case, just slipping out. Made me question the craftsmanship of the Mamba. His first one he sent back to A-main and they were kind enough to send him a new one. but more problems arose. he could tell you better.

the mamba is a good motor when they are running good, but like said before there where problems with bearings and carbs, a local racer whent through 3 of them in 1 season, money is not a issue to this guy, he liked the way the powerband on them felt, but carbs coming loose and rear bearings spinning in the case ended up being catestorphic engine failer, now he has 2 5 ports and 1 7 port GO's

JP engines are GREAT, I have the mod and the std version of the FX engine. the mod version is a BLAST and very fast, Im using it with 7mm restrictor and turbo plug. $%&/() fast. JP told me that the EAGLE 7 port is a great engine with a smooth power band, that is also a nice one, but price are hi.
Andy of the engines will work great if you running-in correctly and put afterrun oil after each race day, and clean them completly after 1 gls of use.
I forgot, always you need to see a trail of smoke!!!!
Have fun

i could not agree more with this post. sounds like alot of the problems I had. I am going to get the b3 for sure, and a-main has the t21bf for 149 right now... but they are out, so I am going to back order one.
