Default HOW TO CHECK A TEMP GUN ?

I BOUGHT A NEW TEMP GUN AND WANT TO CHECK ITS ACCURACY CAN SOMEONE TELL ME A GOOD WAY TO CHECK IT ?

Boil some water and check your temp gun against the boiling water. Oh, and turn caps lock off.

whats the caps lock have to do with a temp gun and what temp dose water boil @ ?

Caps lock is considered yelling and is difficult to read.

Water boils at 212F.

stick it up to your forehead and see if it reads in at 98.6 degrees

Water does boil at 212* but boiling water is not 'stuck' at that temp... it can get much hotter.

But if it's just barely boiling, I guess that would be close to 212.

oh, btw... I've tried to temp myself with temp guns and can never get a full 98* body temp... but close.... low 90's

maybe I'm a reptile

external body temp is different than the internal temp of 98.6

Should of bought a Exergen. Then you wouldn't have to check.....

put a cookie sheet in the oven at 300 degreese leave it there for a hout then check the temp of it
