Hi guys, has anyone out there gone from the Prospec or MBX5 to the RC8? If so, what are your thoughts? I did that recently and am very happy with the change, but my buddy could never adapt to the RC8 and has gone back to the Mugen. He is actually faster with the mugen. He says the RC8 seems to light for him. He like the weight of the Mugen not to mention its strength. Anyone else have similiar reactions or do you prefer the RC8.

I like the heavier cars also you can be alot more consistent with them and you don't have to fight them all the time. I prefer the Mugen over the RC8 even thought the RC8 turns great.

I just ran an rc8 last weekend for the 1st time. i had run a xray ec and a mugen 5r before this. i noticed that tire selection was more of an issue with the rc8. after 1 qualifier i went back to the mugen. it felt more planted and turned just as good as the rc 8. so im into the mugen more.

You will have to compare the RC8 to the new 5R not the older Prospect.... the R has been out for a while now.

I recently switched from the Prospec to the RC8 and haven't looked back.

This car feels better all around for me anyways. Also I think, is just as durable as the prospec.

It also jumps better and has the capability of producing better lap times.
The car just feels more planted.

The thing I noticed with the old Prospec and the earlier standard MBX-5 is the shocks would wear and then the car was not as good. I'm not surprised an old Prospec does not feel as good as a new RC8. The 5R fixed the Prospec shock problem.
