Thoughts on OCM Buggy, EVO version

Ive driven the regular version of the OCM and the newest of the Mugen you cannot beat Mugen's strength but you can see that OCM is very close. As far as handling The Mugen is a Tank it also drives like one very easy to drive but doesn't turn like others but will always do the same thing every lap.OCM same thing but much more steering. Also the evo's setup with the stocks allow more down travel and up travel so it will handle better on a rough track. Also you will notice the price.Overall the OCM is a better deal but its your choice in the end.

I don't know about any of that why would you want to interchange parts and make a mutant.

Reason I ask is that I have some NIB MBX5R parts. If they are basically the same, no need to go sell them and purchase new parts.
Also, if the chassis holes are the same, I can run the MBX5R brushless conversion parts on the OCM vehicle and make a brushless buggy.

I dont think that the engine holes would line up on two different chassis but you can ask Alan Burton go to the website OCMAMERICA.COM his email is on there.

I would stay with the mugen but that is just my opinion......Mugens are proven to be fast and stay together. I had a lot of trouble with my ocm, switched to jammin and never looking back!

And I suppose you've built and driven both?
Steering geometry is very different....VERY.
More up and down suspension travel
Front and rear bulkhead/diff assemblies have lower cg....and yes we know this from test performed and measurements taken from both buggies. We tried both cars bulkheads and diffs on the other to see what effect they had on each other. Mugen stuff on the OCM made the OCM loose all around cause the Mugen diffs sit higher in their bulkheads....and just the opposite for the Mugen.
Also the radio tray is entirely different, and there are no extra toe blocks needed..... all inserts for adjustment.
Yeah,I see how the OCM is a Mugen.

straight from alan burton......like the topic states, he wanted "thoughts on the buggy, and that is what i gave him. So don't start a stupid argument on the internet. His topic didn't state lets argue about what car is the best.....
