Default sg shaft issues

ok i'm new here and bought a SH .12 with a SG shaft here's where the help comes in!! it's going in a xxx-nt i have done research and realized i got the wrong engine! i heard with a little modifiyng it will work! i got GT2 parts hinking they would work...wrong what about using some traxxas or parts from the CRT .5??? i could try to retrn my engine but not sure if hobby people have the right one in stock still??? suggestions besides return it? thanks!

You will need to cut the crank off. Match it up to the new pilot nut and cut off with dremel.

Cut the shaft until you get to the threads slide the collet on then your flywheel then screw the clutch nut on with some threadlock then proceed with your clutch, cluthbell and bearings and the that little grey thingy then your clip

thanks for the info guys i decided to sell the engine it's in the FS section! not going to mess with it! decided to buy the dynamite .12SPD pull start and give that a try read that it is a pretty good engine for the cash!

Pull starts arent good for nothing but some blisters and a broken starter coil rope

you forgot taking the skin of your knuckles if you get to close to the head while pulling............ouch!

so i guess the real question is do i want to lug a starter box everywhere i go?? are they really worth it?

Its a small price to pay considering how much easier it makes in starting a motor ,especially when hot or flooded...

well maybe i'll look for an inexpensive starter box! cranking my last engine sucked!
