Default How to tell when you diff gears need replacing?

Well I am sitting here going through my CRT for this upcoming season and replacing parts and checking for wear. I am looking at my center diff gears right now and they have some wear but I am curious if anyone knows how to tell if they really need replacing. Of course it would be nice to replace everything but as you all know it costs money to do so. How do you know when it is time?

Post some pics of your gears and we can tell you if they need replacing.

You can see that the gears tend to develop a sharp edge. Looking at it from the side you can see the amount of wear. If its really thin then its time to change. Also check for the amount of play within the gears and the diff case. You should also check the front and rear diffs.
