Default SPORTWERKS TURMOIL PRO SETUP

Hello,
I am brand new to the sport of R/C buggy racing (use to race MX but just got married and wife is going back to grad school so funds are cut too short to continue that sport). I just got a Turmoil Pro ARR with the .21 motor. Could anyone who has experience racing this buggy PLEASE give me an idea of a good set up to begin with. I hope to learn as I go, but while the weather is bad here in Illinois and I have time to work on it, I would just as soon go ahead and get a decent setup so I am ready to go once the weather breaks. THANKS for any help given!

how do u like the stock setup? I would check it out first and then decide what u don't like about how the car handles. Then make changes from there. Every person has a slightly different driving style. It may be the setup u are looking for already.

Ok, I went to that website but don't really understand where to go when I get there. Should I PM some guy named Rick? If you could explain what you mean, I would really appreciate. Thanks for the help!

RC Tech's forum is a good one.

You can PM Rick OR ask on that forum. He's one of the NON-paid WAY behind the scene guy who does some of the testing for Sportwerks and Spektrum.

He's also raced on most of the tracks in IL, so his setup(s) should be close to what your looking for.

My Turmoil is box stock. Worked just fine but I bent a shock shaft. With nothing else to fix it with I put on an extra set of Jammin shocks.
ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Man was it on a rail. I left them on.

Red springs. (Sportwerks)
Front Losi 40.
Rear Losi 37.5.

And if you shim the ball studs on the steering arm and bell crank it will turn freer when the front is at full travel.
It binds.
