the only wierd thing about the kit is the left hand threaded screw for the right front lower shock mount, and left rear lower shock mount. I didn't think there was much of an issue there, but better safe than sorry I guess!
I didnt bother using those left hand threaded screws I just used some standard screws.

Big mistake. Those are used for a reason. The Losi 8 had problems w/ screws backing out on the "torque side" (left rear & right front). I used to have to shoe goo the hell out of them on the Losi. Those screws are worth their weight in gold. PM me I'll take um
Quick tip when building any diff: Put the silicon in the housing before you put the spider gears in. This way the silicon can work its way into all the little nooks and crannies. If you put the gears in first sometime the pins, washers and gears can block the fluid from getting into to all the spaces. Ever wonder where all you diff fluid went when doing a rebuild? It was not as full as you thought in the first place. The centrifigul force pushes the fluid out into the spaces you thought were already filled.
can anyone name some stores that carry parts for the 808?
and if you know of any near the northeast.
im looking at the 808 pics and the plastics just look so thick and durable.
i also noticed your shocks dont have the boots over the shafts, does the 808 not come with them? or you didn't put them on?
Don't know of any in the North/East.
But A-Main, & Team Helotes look to carry all of them. I'm sure there more, but I order most of my parts from A-Main. I get them within 24 hours of ordering, but I live in the same state too.
The 808 shocks have felt in them that's self cleaning, but X-Ray is making a shock collar that will hold a boot. Some Drivers have been using shock covers with good success. Just personal preference what drivers like.

Parts and kits should be shipping today. Shops should start showing stock mid to late week I would think. RCAmerica said they have a 6 week backlog of orders though so it will prolly go quick! Wonder if it will contain any CNC goodies?

Over a gallon on it and they havent so much as loosened. I never had the issue of screws loosening on that side on any of the 4 RC's I have owned, must be a losi issue .
The carbon fiber shock towers are extremely tough. One guy over on the XRAY forums plowed into a pole at speed and the front shock towers, rather than bend or break, sheared off the top of the front gearbox in the impact.
While that may sound freaky, bear in mind that it's cheaper to replace a plastic gearbox than a carbon or aluminum tower
