I run bottom hole in rear all the time but you may not like it Zero,it helps keep the rear end from stepping out on full throttle corner exit & from seing your posts it seems like Pivot is your friend where I do everthing I can to keep the rear in line. Front I always run top hole now & it may be why I can run 7k in my front AD with 41t & still follow a losi through every turn & pull right past them coming out.
maybe a noob question, but im just wondering how important it is to run a failsafe on the 808? i sortoff dont have the cash for one now...but im really affraid i might find myself picking up my 808 in pieces if the throttle servo or battery fails...after what i saw this weekend. Is the spring on the 808 strong enough or do you guys run some sort of homemade Mcgyver thing to close throttle if batteries die?
Thx in advane

A good idea to run a spring for your throttle. cheap insurance for your expensive motor.

just finished my first day of testing with my new car IMO i was very impressed overall 8 hole pistons certainly made the biggest difference to the car some minor roll centre adjustments and the buggy is pretty mu ch dialed

Thanks, I'm going to start with the front roll center and should be so close that I can just play with the rear to get a feel for it. If I pick up steering with the front link I may have to drop the rear anyway or move my rear up back.
7k in the front active diff is really stiff! Maybe better off with a regular diff. 2 feels like 3, and 3 feels like 5 in my active diff off power. Those smaller inside gears react to fluids more. I might drop down to 1k. (then again it is cold up here)

Hi.
I would say ALWAYS a failsafe.
Also:
Mount a rubber band from the carburator neck to the thottle wire.
Anybody have a new or used 41 tooth overdrive gear for a stock diff they want to sell or a active diff for sale? I do have some stuff I could trade, like a ofna chrome top starter box or a brand new RB 2020 pipe with the 198p header.
I realy just want the 41 tooth gear if sombody has one they wanna sell or trade for somthing I have. I do have some brand new panther clay switchs with panther black wheels and stuff like that if anybody is enterested.I also may let a os 2050 pipe go if that draws any enterest.
I never thought to raise the front roll center to get more corner entry steering. Hmm, you guys have good ideas, I don't usually change stuff too often.
I heard the 2010 version won't change that much..
just new bulkheads with larger 13x21x4 bearings
and new towers, perhaps a 4 mm chassis
I just hope they make it user friendly in the way of being able to use your two peice engine mount and some of the spare that you accumulate over the years, sure if they change arms and stuff like that to improve all good but lets hope they get it right the first time.....

Just FYI - raising the front camber link to the top hole effectivly lowers the roll centre. It certainly gives you more steering on the X-Ray, no doubt.
You can use the larger bearings in the diffs if you don't use the bearing covers or whatever they are called. I like the covers though it keeps the beaings clean....
