Angry Engine will not start with electric drill

My pull starter failed on my mach 28 engine so i bought a roto starter. I have not got the battery yet so I have been trying to start the engine with an electric drill. This starts now and then but with no reularity. Is it too fast and floods the engine or is it too slow. I am having lots of problems since removing the pull starter. I hope someone can help me.

As long as the parts you installed to replace the pull start system are the correct ones and don't create an air leak in the case, it should start fine. Make sure your drill is fast enough to turn the engine over though.

sometimes the one way bearing gets oil in it and slips when it should grab the starter shaft. try cleaning it out. but if it continues to slip you need a new one way bearing, or it's because an excess of oil is oozing out the back plate, and that could mean your engine is wearing out.
