yea man, find yourself a heat gun (blow dryer is ok, but not quite hot enough) and heat that case up getting it to around 180-200, then try and crank it again.. if youve never run the motor, be sure and break it in correctly. there are numerous ways to do this, each person has their own method. but at the very least run the first tank pretty rich (plenty of smoke!) at an idle for the entire tank.. then the next 2-3 tanks run 0-1/2 throttle, then the next 2-3 tanks 0-3/4 throttle,. try and keep the temp of the motor at least 190 and up to 230 or 240 degrees then after that you should be ok...

and for some reason if that wont turn the engine, maybe buy a pull start or another different starting system than the box and see if you can get it running for the race. then you will have a back up starting system
like me on my t-maxx, i have on it a roto start that i always have on, and if for some reason that fails i have an E-Z start (that came with the car) and as a last resort i have a pull start (the only reason its my last resort is because i actually have to do work to start it ) and of course i have a few glow ignitor batteries around, and if they run out usually someone at the track will lend me theres for the race. R/C PEOPLE ARE NICE PEOPLE! well sometimes the old on road racers arnt but lets not get me started on them
