? about panther tires
whats the differnce between the soft and clay compound i figured the clay was a bit harder
|
Clay compound is a little harder...it's also made from REAL tire rubber. The m, ms, s, ss compounds are made from synthetic material...as are most company's tires.

i run clay switches at leisure hours and have not had any luck with any other tire

That clay compound is still pretty soft.

The clay compound is a harder tire than the soft as others have mentioned. Typically the rule I go by is the softer the track is for example real wet the harder the tire compound. Now if the track is really hard packed then you want a softer compound such as the soft.

when i was at amain i think the example they give is a little misleading, they say for harder compound for a hard or dry track and a soft compound for a wet loomy track. the track i ran at was dry and dusty and i got hard coumpoind tires, big mistake needed the softest coumpound tire i could get.
