Looks adjustable and you can replace flywheel pins thrice. Wow

I could be wrong but I think Works clutches are all actually Fioroni clutches with a different finish & label.

Werks does not make a clutch like the one posted above.

I stopped by my LHS and they told me that Werks is discontinuing their clutch because the Fioroni clutch has been outselling it...dunno if it's really true.

The werks setup is very similar, it just uses 4 shoes instead of 3 and it doesn't have those holes for adjustments...

yes, but the werks clutch is very different really, its a setup that works on centrifigal force with a center spring for the pressure plate on the end to engage all four shoes, whereas the fioroni still uses pretty much standard type shoes and springs but looks like the different holes change the tension of the spring maybe?

same end result, but two entirely different ways of going about getting there. that fioroni looks nice for sure!

Fioroni DOES make one like the werks, but again, the one posted above is not like any Werks clutch made.

Link to Fioroni clutch that resembles the Werks clutch

Has anyone tried this new clutch yet? It looks very nice. Only thing is new shoes are like 30 bucks so its a little expensive if they wear fast.

If I read the vario description correctly, preload on the shoe springs is adjusted using a ramp/cam surface on the smaller piece of the assembly. You'll set the preload with the hole you choose on the face(1,2,3), the more you rotate the face anti-clockwise the more preload on all 3 springs. I thought it was more like the Reckward, yet there are no moving parts after its all assembled.(except the shoes)

The clutch looks pretty, but until these style of clutches are externally adjustable I'm not buying into them. 70 bucks is a nice chunk of change. How long does it take to get one of these set? Do you drive the car for a sec, realize that setting is not so good, then pull the motor and reinstall. Sounds like a PITA.

I've got a Werks clutch, which is great btw, and it is pretty quick to adjust. It only takes me 30-40sec to get the engine out of my buggy and have the clutch bell off. Then just give the adjustment nut a twist, re-loctite and away you go. I can't really tell by the pictures how exactally you rotate the top plate on this clutch to change the pre-load, but as long as there is no disassembly of the clutch then adjusting it should be quick. For a truly externally adjustable clutch to be made avaliable you would need new clutch bells and some kind of special wrench for sure, which would drive the cost of these already expensive clutches even more.

Here is the pic of the Fioroni equivalent to the Werks clutch.
