Never heard of it... I understand the interchangeable top plat but why do you need to change the power plant?

You might take a look at the new OFNA blue box with dual motors and maybe there is a way to setup the 8b and the st-rr

The Losi starter box is the only box I know of that is meant to quickly change between buggy and truggy, but of course, it's only for their buggy and truggy.

I've got the Ofna blue box myself and it's pretty easy to setup for either buggy or truggy, but due to the fact that you gotta be so precise with the buggy, I don't think it would be feasible to change the posts during race day.

The Ofna Chrome Top would be a better choice since I think it has a power panel, but you still gotta fiddle with pins.

Maybe use the ofna chrome top and get a couple of NeverMiss plates:

But again, it might be too time consuming to swap 'em out. If you're just bashing, it would work fine to just get an adjustable starter box but for racing, you only real option is two boxes. At least, at my track, the guys racing buggy and truggy don't have enough time between heats to be fiddling with their starter box.

Team Losi's new universal starter box. It is supposed to fit more vehicles than just the 8ight and 8ight-T.

I make a conversion kit for the Mugen (and similar) boxes so that you could start both your buggy and truggy on the same box. I KNOW it works for the MBX5 buggy & truggy as I own the Mugen vehicles and why I made the kit. But there is a very good chance it will work for many other Mfg buggy/truggy's. I can't say if it will work if you have one Mfg buggy and a different Mfg truggy, but you can certainly try it. As long as you can mount the front alignment pins so that the flywheel of both vehicles hits the starter wheel, then it'll work. So all you have to do is take both vehicles and slap them on any starter box with the rear pegs removed. Adjust the front pegs to see if both flywheels will line up the same.
