Is there a big differance between these two moters. I just got a Kyosho ST-RR and not sure that the $140 price differance is worth it for the OS but if it is I'll go with it. I'm open to any suggestions also. I bought the Jammin JP-2 exhaust pipe.

Have had both and the Os V spec leaves the hyper in its fumes.
The Hyper Mach 21 turbo is great motor and with the right pipe can be almost as good... Its a revised Hyper 8 port with a turbo head..

Personally this is a unfair comparison, because the v-spec is waaaaay above the hyper turbo.

The Vspec will get better fuel mileage and beat the hyper down the stretch easily.

I have owned all three motors in question.
Yes the V spec is the most powerfull but not by that much over a well sorted and tuned Mach turbo. My mach out did the V spec hands down in economy 12 to 13 min out of a tank. I never have got that out of the V spec. I never got passed by any v spec on the straight. My lap times were slightly better with the Mach due to the tamer power band.

Yes I love the V spec and its the worlds best selling off road motor but there are other motors that are just as good without the following.
