OS engine -- Any omments on this?
Any comments-- good or bad on this OS engine for use in a Losi 8 buggy!

.28 engine in a buggy=bad thing. If it were a controllable amount of power you would still have a fuel economy problem. Buggies have fuel tanks that are 25cc+ smaller than the truggies that these engines were intended for. Losi buggies have insane acceleration and aggressive handling. They can actually be better for some with less powerful engines.

Hmmm... fuel mileage with a big engine is an issue, as already noted.
And that is probably too much low end power. Unless you have a very gentle trigger finger, you are not going to like it.
A good 7-port .21 buggy engine with be smoother on the bottom and have all the power you could ever wish for. I like the Werks B7 Pro, but there are many good engines out there. RB WS7 III, OS V-spec, etc...
And, again, as mentioned, anything larger than a .21 will not be class legal for buggy racing.
