Default Starter Nitro BUGGY kits?????

I am wondering what would be a good Nitro Buggy kit in a 1/10 scale. If anyone has any ideas or even what is the most popular out there let me know there are so many but usually good to ask some questions first.

Are you only planning to bash, or do you plan to race?

If you are going to race, a 1/10 scale buggy of ANY kind isn't a good idea... there isn't really a racing class for that.

You would want a 1/8 scale buggy instead. In 1/10 scale, the only thing that has a racing class is 2WD gas truck.

I would just go to amain hobbies & pick up one of the sportwerks buggies. You can pick up the buggy w/ a great mill for $300. Then just pick out a good radio & servos. It really is a great buggy. Do not let the price scare you from it.

Thumbs up

Absolutely! Gat the Turmoil Pro ARR with the .21 engine and pipe for $300. That is probably the best car deal in the industry right now.
This thing runs great on the track or in the field!
TEX

Wow! That's cheap!

I got a NIB Turmoil Pro ARR w/.21 V2 and pipe for $245 shipped on ebay. Used buy it now from a hobbysuperstore. Very fast shipping too. I have not driven it yet but it has a lot of nice features. I did a lot of research and I think I made the right choice. If I had to pay $299 plus shipping I would still get it.

If you want a 10th scale the Hot Bodies Lightning 10 buggy is very good.

Kyosho TRF 15 or the Duratrax Nitro Evader BX. Both are 1/10 scale nitro buggies. The kyosho is 4wd and the Duratrax is 2wd.

Default 1/10

The guys around where I live only run 1/10 but I'm trying to get intouch with someone that races at the track in truro near where I live if I find out they run 1/10 then I will buy a 1/10 but if they run 1/18 then I will run 1/8.I'm even open to the idea of the truggys I'll probably get what the most popular that is raced at that track.I'm thinking HPI for a truggy and Team Associate for a buggy.

Remember, he was asking about a 4WD 1/10 buggy. That limits his options quite a bit. The 1/8 buggy field has over 35 possibilities through out the world.

For a 10th scale nitro buggy Hot Bodies probably makes the best. They make a 10th scale truggy too. They come with .15 engines and they are both 4wd. I have seen them run in person and they are very fast and durable. They sell for about $200 on ebay brand new too.
