Works great
I have used the Axial .28 engine in several trucks and have have had great luck with it. Tunes well and holds the tune.Has a great wide power band. I have 6 of the Axial engines and have noting but praise of them. The carb just spins around so the fuel line and carb linkage lines up with the setup for the Savage. It will be hard to keep the front end on the dirt with that much power.
Hope this helps.

A mate of mine put an Axial 32 into his savage... fit's no worries! only issue he had was the severe lack of steering due to the front end being vertical all the time......
