Default Ring clamp sleeve pinch?

has anyone tryed the ring clamp style of sleeve pinching? good or bad idea?

I've got 3 Radical engines that I don't need anymore. Heads, cases, cranks and carbs are all good.....1 of the r/p/s are raceable, 1 is kinda iffy, 1 needs a re-build and new bearings. $125.00 shipped
