try heating motor up first with a heat gun to 200...dont use foil..use a shop rag and duck tape around it...dont lean new motor out..you want extra fuel/oil to blow out metal junk..I even tape two hand warmer's around head...dont forget to heat cycle motor..thats the ticket to a good running motor..good luck

Thats pretty dumb. Any metal shavings in the engine that get blown through the engine could damage it. I always take the engine apart first and rinse it out with nitro cleaner. As for the tinfoil You can still use it use tinfoil and stick the end of a sock around it to keep it on. if its still too cool try blocking the wind flow from the prop a bit.

Thats pretty dumb !!!!...Your daddy must by your motors you brain dead moron..What i mean about flushing new motors rich during break in is that...during break in you are fitting the piston to the sleeve. You will have metal shavings produced from that..running motor rich helps blow that out..cleaning motor out before you even start it is good to do but that doesnt stop break in procedures to be skipped..new motor pinch--thats metel on metal..piston sleeve is tapperd...dumb....I swear the world is full of freakin brain dead crack heads like you...go mow your parents yard...but ck the gas first. dilligaf

A break in stand forum would be nice. We use the Hudy stand but we modified the Prop to a 3 blade pusher prop to move the high velocity air away from the motor. We do cover the head but it is still hard to get temps in the cold wether.
I take a reading on the first curve of the exhaust and the head reading to a general idea of what's going on inside. Seems to work pretty well.
Hope this helps!
