I disagree, yes there are alot of posts from alot of people there but for the most part the sGrid's forum runs on old technology and the interface sucks. Buy a gallon of fuel with your money and use RCTech, at least this guy updates his forums software. I can't see one benefit by using sGrid over this forum and a few other free ones like Neo-Buggy etc...

If you want to chat with a pro driver go to neo-buggy.com

Sgrid is great in my opinion. Most pro use those forums and post on a regular basis. You dont get stupid threads like "what buggy should I get" that you see 100000000000000000000000000 times over. If you want a hardcore forum, go to sgrid

Sorry I forgot to call you sunday when you forgot to call me first. THis CRS is killing me.

As for the grid.......

I too signed up back when, and you are right about most of the above. Over the years fewer pros are hanging out as much since sparky abdicated as the sole authority, but most still drop in often enough to make it worth keeping up with.

As for the bickering, it seems to vary with whoever is acting as fair witness. Some keep too tight a lid on things while some let it go wild wild west. All in all though, it's hands down the best, most reliable, and quickest source of solid info for racers in spite of the (sometimes) air of scumbag entitlement demonstrated by a select few members who seem to have forgotten they didn't pop out of their mom with 10 years of accumulated rc knowledge under their belts and think it's incumbent on them to make snide remarks about "noob" questions rather than just keeping their over inflated egos (and mouths) shut.

Also, They don't suffer bashers much over there either, so if you go asking stuff about your badazz full metal savvy that's having trouble breaking pull start cords, don't expect much in the way of help.

If on the other hand you are looking for which tire, setup, etc., works best at most any track in the country, or you want up to the minute, solid info on what equipment is working and what's breaking too often at the track, it's the only place to go.

Thank god it was free when i signed up or I would NOT be a member.. I would never pay a membership fee for a forum.. I thought that's what advertisers on there were for, to pay a fee to keep it going??

I think it should be a yearly membership fee!
The reason there is a fee is to keep the stupid 10 year olds off the forums
and gets rid of the advertizements
I think everyone that races agrees with that.
If you race you should be signed up with sgrid. yes the format sucks but the abundance of knowledge makes up for that 100 times over.

From the tiltyard forum

Here is my letter to the grid members. Please help and email a friend
from the grid. It's time I strike back.

The seceret the grid police don't want you to know about.Over three
years ago I was banned from the starting grid website. I was given a
sentence of life without the possibly of parole. Since my banning any
mention of me, Homer Allman, or any of my webistes www.tiltedrc.com or
www.tilted1.com would result in a gridpolice violation for the
offender. This year already the gridpolice has banned a user for
forming a thread about tiltedrc.com. tiltedrc is an online commerce
store run by me. tiltedrc is also the onsite hobbyshop at one of the
premiere east coast offroad tracks called the Tiltyard. You have to
wonder why the gridpolice would go to such measures as to ban a user
for promoting an online store and offroad track on their website.

Well I can tell you why. WWW.tilted1.com is why. Tilted1.com is a grid
style conference that is free to it's users. You won't find any
gridpolice there handing out unwarranted violations. We come over and
check us out and see what this closely guard secret is all about.
Setting up an account is fast and easy and it won't cost you a dime.
You will find many grid members already there. Our site offers a few
features the grid doesn't. User edit and a working search button is
few of the cool things that seperate us. For photogrpahy buffs we have
a random picture at the top of the page. No more stale pictures
hanging for weeks on end. Submit your photos and get them in the
rotation.

http://www.tilted1.com

thanks for you time
Homer

S-Grid was and still is a horrible forum.

It was so poorly set up when I registered 2 or 3 years ago, and I cant stand the people there... they think their duties don't stink.
