Get the tires best suited for your track, thats where you should start. A high-torque steering servo will really help but isn't really needed. Are you looking to spend money or just for some tips?

sounds like you need thicker oil in the rear shocks

thats what a couple people have told me. now what about weight reduction and stuff like that. something to make it alittle faster. its already fast enough, there is alot of stuff done to it but i just want to transfer all that to a track and make it racable.

If you didn't order race tires yet then I would get some 1/2 inch or 1 inch offset wheels. These will make the truck wider and stop it from rolling over as much.

well i have the big 40 series tires but it really lags the truck down, but would like the bow tie tread tire or would because i have like the all terrain tires for the maxx. what about shock settings. what do you suggest i do about that. i took off 4 shocks so the suspension wouldnt be so stiff, but i dont know i guess thats why im asking.

You should put on your shocks, they were made for the truck to use all 8. Fill the rear shocks with thicker oil, buy some tires that are suited for your track (ask around), buy a high-torque servo (>150oz), take off the EZ-Start, and you should be ready.

alright i cando that, now what about gearing would that also depend on the track, because i have and 18 tooth on there right now and to me personally it works pretty good.

Did you think of doing the reverse lockout? It will probably be less rotating mass. Gearing will definitely depend on the track.

yea the reverse was the very first thing i took out when i got the truck. i broke the truck in with out the reverse. that saved me about 1.5lbs how would i find out what track conditions are and stuff like that to set my truck up for the track. would that be something to just have to find out when i get there or on the internet.

You need to visit the track first. Or maybe contact a racer and ask them the general questions (tire of choice, gearing..etc.).

yea there is a big metal piece inside there, and there is a fork looking deal that you can take out, but in order to take al that out you have to buy the reverse conversion kit, its just a shaft with a gear one it. you have to have that gear to make it work, i have tried to by pass that piece but nothing lines up with out it. but yea when i took it out i noticed a BIG difference, you can tune it better and it will take off like a bat out of hell.
