Xray have announced that RC superstar Brian Kinwald will be joining their team. Brian has won 2 World Championships, over 30 National titles, and many other big race wins in gas and electric classes and while 1/10 electric touring car he will mainly focus on racing and development of the off-road line of the Xray products. Brian had this to say about the deal:

I have been doing R&D for numerous companies for over 15 years, and I have been watching Xray for many years now. I truly believe they have a superior product; I have never seen such great craftsmanship and innovation in an RC company, and trust me I have ran and seen it all! Since I am now in a position to make a change, I am very happy to announce that I will be working and racing for them…I can’t wait! I would assume Trinity for motor/fuel and I know he's got Futaba radio gear. He's still with Xfactory for EP offroad is what someone said in the EP offroad thread.

very good to hear this, no doubt xray has the best built cars, only I wished they handled like my losi 8, as the xb8ec wasnt for me but loved wrenching on it and how nice the car just looked. I would be curious to see how the new xb8 does thou if they put it out

I am sure Dirt will be at home running their 8th scales. It might take him a few weeks but I do see him make a serious run at all A-mains this year. I cannot wait to get the first race results back from him and that car. Also Xray has lost a bunch of drivers as of late and I think Dirt is the best acquisiton they have made in quite a while.

What is cool about BK is the fact that he is one of the few top level drivers that sets his stuff up to be easy to drive. Hopefully, Xray will listen to him for improvements on their car. The workmanship is second to none but it is just too hard to drive for most.
BK knows his stuff! Take advantage of it.

+1 Tex. I used to run Brian's XXX setups and the cars felt lively, but stable. VERY fast setups, too. It's really going to be interesting to see how he does this year!
