Default buy a car or just build it with parts?

ok im debating what to do.Im going back to 1/8 buggy and im going to stick with jammin because that buggy was unbreakable and i just really suited my driving style.Heres my problem,All the kits i see on ebay or here set up like i want them really want some high dollars for a used car.So im thinking of just building it up with parts from ebay and hobby stores to make it the way i want. What would you guys do?Im looking for full king headz stuff with pbs front end with the super big bores on it.What you guys think

i sold my jammin fte for $180 and it was only 2 months old with just a few races on it. and i think you would better off waiting a fews weeks and get the new jammin.

I don't see how you plan on getting a loaded jammin thats brand new w/out spending money. If you are on a budget & want a new buggy then I would take a look at other more affordable buggies. Both cen & ocm buggies have been doing great localy & are second to none in terms of economics. If you are leaning towards the jammin because of local support then I would recommend purchasing the parts that don't wear used & the parts that wear new.

+1 on that! IMO if you buy used, buy something that you can look at first and talk to the owner. Buying over the net you really dont know what your getting (been there done that).
If the car is so tough then why do you need all the kingheads stuff?
As for the big bores that is probably the #1 best upgrade you can do to any car. $120+ for a set without springs though!

Damn I want a Porsche 997 RSR but all the used ones with TONS of race hours on them are going for $185K and I can't afford that but I really want one. I mean why can't I find a "new" used one for like $20K?

What should I do?

I have an answer. Just save up until you get the money. I have two projects that I have to get done before the start of the race season. I want a HPI 5bSS and the new Jammin CRTX2. Like Drew and his Porsche, (play the lottery buddy!!) you have to plan and save. Get the roller kit and when you get the funds upgrade.
