Default Motor delivered at top dead centre

Hi,

Has anyone bought a motor and had it delivered at top dead centre and how do u think this will effect the motor.

was the engine new or used??? if it was new there is nothing to worry about...if it was used the previous owner probably didnt take good care of it...

I have always seen O.S. engines shipped like that. I don't know why they do that.

I don't know what to say really but I have bought 2 os motors and neither one of them were at the top but if it is brand new I would think that it couldn't be hurt but not real sure

Just make sure before you roll it over (Or try too) on the starter box, heat the case up to 200+ degrees, (I like 230+ for there first tank) and put a good amount of lubrication in it. Those first few strokes can be the most stressful on a new motor components. Help it out as much as you can.....
