Buggy, M3 Crimefighter and Bowties, truggy M2 Holeshots are the "primary" tires that you have to bring and what everyone uses all/most of the time. I'm not too famaliar with Panther's tires, but there should be a few that will work good at this track like the one that looks similiar to a Losi Reptile 1/10 truck tread design.

Not sure if that's from last years race or not, but even if it is it's still pretty accurate to what people are running now. The last batch of dirt they brought in was mixed with some sand, so it's not as clay-like as you might think. It can get pretty loose and dusty when it dries out. They also just brought in a lot more dirt, but they have yet to do a track rebuild with it so everything could change. I think CF's, bowties and hole shots are still going to be it though.

Anyone have suggestions about the two Host Hotels that are named in the flyer? Which one is better?

Entry Limit is 208 per class.

Practice schduel is on the Entry Form.

Railroad pass is cheaper and closer

Fiesta Henderson is More Vegas like, nicer, and alittle farther away.
Both within 10 mins.

Tires, I would Expect bowties and Holeshots to be the tires of choice.

Rules will be enforced, We have the best tech equipment around, Way better and more accurate then anything that has ever been at a race.

Tires...the ones I listed are what has been used at this race for the past 2-3 years or so. I dont' know what their new dirt is like and if/how it's effecting tire selection. If the dirt changes things a bit hopefully the word gets out from a local racer there letting the out of towners know what they'll need.

So, are M2's a waste of time....M3 the way to go?

The Silver State track always gets really rough at this race b/c it's a pretty soft soil with a high sand content and A LOT of 1/8 cars out there tearing it up. My experience with M2's at this track is they grab the bumps a lot more and will make your buggy traction roll a lot easier and are not better. I could be wrong, things can change and I don't have as much wheel time at this track as others.

Practice schedule is on the Entry Form.
I see that it is, but it doesn't explain much. Is the practice an "open" practice, or a structured practice?

Structured meaning a driver only gets one or two session (5-7 minute each) of practice total before the heats/main(s). A driver also practices with the same group as they are in there heat with?

Sense there is only one Buggy and Truggy class, most drivers are going to be in the lower Mains. How long are the lower mains?

Sorry for the newbie questions. This will be my first time to SS. Just don't want to be caught off guard when I get there, and find out something that is not what I was expecting..

For races of this size they usually always have controlled practice by using mock race heats. They will post some sort of a race heat listing and you go by tat. Usually just get 2 rounds of practice a day, maybe 3 rounds....so you will only get like two or three 7-10min practice heats in a day.
