Guys, give them a bit to make it to the shops. They left on the 15th from the factory headed to the USA. It takes time to get to the USA, through customs, to me, processed, packaged again, and sent out.

They are coming! I last posted 9 days ago so I'm thinking about 5-6 more days before they make it to me I want them in the shops just as bad...

Thanks!

I hope I am not asking a question that has already been asked, but what will come with the RTR as far as engine and exhaust, radio, body, etc. and what cost are we looking at mailorder? Thanks.

Default TRuggy review from truggyracers.com

JUST SOME TID BITS OF THE REVIEW FROM TRUGGYRACERS>COM

"QUOTE (CRSMP5 @ Dec 16 2007, 09:47 PM)
nitro.. the box stock testing is pretty much as complete as it can get
except duribility at this time.. thats something only time can tell..
box stock it drives real real nice.. it flys nice. how it holds
together after time is now the question. "

So your conclusion is that the OCM drives and flys nice. I'd like to
see a direct comparison with the Mugen 5T, point by point. I've put
the Mugen at the top of my list because it is durable, drivable
without being demanding and generally has a good track record. I've
dismissed the Kyosho as too expensive without showing any outstanding
performance. The Losi 8 gets dismissed by me for being too fragle, too
demanding of a driver and having too many issues. I really like the
Hyper St, but it's probably not a break through design. Still the
price is right and my Hyper 8 has been bullet proof.

So compared to the 5T, does the OCM

Turn quicker.
Turn tighter.
Is it lighter.
Is the wheelbase longer.
Does it have more metal than the Mugen in place of plastic plastic
parts.
I know the price is less with the OCM, but $100 or so is not that much
difference. Just look at what the Kyosho people are willing to pay.

By truggyracers.com...

as for my lap times this past sat between my modded mugen, and the
ocm.. close.. but ive been playing hooky tryign to have the funds for
the week off in jan for the crcrc nats.. so a bit rusty..

my fastest lap of the day was with teh ocm though.. but i was more
consistant with the mugen..

for stock ocm settings, seems to be real real neutral anyone can drive
it with no quirks..

off power its tighter in turning, on power it has a slight push, i
have not reduced some castor like i did on the mugen which should
improve the push, find out sat, should also give more off power
steering

i have the xxt on the 5t if it was stock they would be same wheel base

did not weigh them in.. im not really supposed to give specifics at
this time.

metal vs mugen.. well hmmm

non prospec mugen has more due to cf.. radio tray, top diff plate,
steering post support

prospec aluminum rear uprights, aluminum chassis braces

ocm
top plate, diffplate, radiotray, all 4 hing pin holders, anti bend
rods, piece on bulk anti rod goes to is aluminum.. IMO truggy needs
rear uprights of aluminum at this point.. at least in the cold.

duribility this past weekend.. mugen broke more parts.. LOL..

the stock shocks work like stock mugen ones.. pretty much direct copy,
they are smooth, ive had people ask what i did to them even they are
so smooth.. teflon pistons, aluminum bodies/caps.. instead of the
screw on parts for holdign o-rings and such in it uses the old clips
though..

for now i place it between mugen top of list due to outstanding long
life nothing needed to race it (around 2-3 gal diffs need solutions as
they will leak/break the pins) and the 8t which as you stated has
issues that needs resolved to finish a race day.. untill long term use
of the ocm i will not be able to knock the mugen off its spot..

ive got a good 15 gal thru it last season.. went thru 2 sets of arms,
1 pinion, had to fix the leaky diffs, fixed the cross pin failure
issue in the diffs, 2 shock ends, 1 wing mount and a impressive broken
part that still has never been discussed..

if the ocm can hold together like that for a year of race.. OCM wins
as the parts/overall cost less.. but at this point thats all thats
left in testing is long term.. drives great.. easy to push hard..
metal quality is top notch, customer service for this past year was
outstandign to those runnign ocm buggies.. that 1 thing has kept my
interest in ocm.. major support from the factory..

kyosho/losi/mugen/hb/jammin/ofna and the others lack the support OCM
is trying to give.. that alone will push the OCM to a new level in a
racers eye.. at least if your just getting into racing ocm will be
your best bet as the team looks to help all they can.

jpmodd.. the stock shocks have been used to date.. between 11-14
tanks have been run with no issues.. and for all the tire kickers who
did not run it and the ones who did they all are impressed with the
stock ones.. springs seem perfect, no leaks..

OWTCAST, I am sure shortly after the truggies hit the states, Amain will have them in stock. Being that it is the holiday season it will probably take a couple weeks to get them out to the stores. Be patient, the truggies look awesome, and I am sure they will be worth the wait. Thanks
