T-mizz, the Houston representation sounds as if it will be good.

Regarding changing your registration from two classes to one. It appears that you have registered and not paid for your entries. If this is the case, you have not been officially entered as an entrant for either class. When you actually pay, then you will have the spot reserved. Simply do not pay for the class that you do not want to enter. No problem. Give me a call for any other issue that you want to talk about. 404-323-5626

Lots of people have never raced. Learning is what the sportsman class is for.

Sounds like a good time but a $60 pre-reg fee (and $75 day of ) for a 1st annual anything is steep...someone needs to let a little more of the cat out of the bag and encourage a few of us sitting on the fence (I know I'm not the only one) to make a commitment.

Have you been to the website and read the race format? Lessee, more practice time than any race I have personally ever been to, more qualifying time than any race I have ever been to except the '06 nationals (this race ties qualifying time at 4 rounds of 10 minute qualifying), 40' long drivers stand which is long by even permanent track standards (by comparison, we believe that The Farm II has a 42' long stand), a very large track dimension (130x240 feet), enclosed arena to ensure no weather related delays, race software run by one of developers of the software himself, 40 foot long pit road, and some track features you have (probably) never seen before. How about a jump that will send you a MINIMUM of 40' horizontally and 15' vertically...although it is not adviseable for monster trucks. That is a teaser.... the rest is just as impressive. I guarantee you have never seen anything like it. Guaranteed. That enough?

If it is not, you will have to wait at home and be bummed when we post some practice-time videos on SGRID, here and on Tech Talk and you see what you missed........or you can come and be part of it. This will be a memorable event. Count on it.

We are simply not going to let the cat out of the bag until the last second. Some sponsors would not be happy.

Flatspunout - Seriously, we have not taken this event lightly. It is not a "big race" that is on a track that races every week anyway. This is the first time that any racing event has happened at this venue. Everything must be built, then brought on site, assembled, then taken down afterwards. The track must be built from scratch, then leveled afterward before we leave. The rental on the facility alone was SEVERAL thousand dollars. This event will be something special.

C'mon Rocky B- Trust me. If you race alot, then when you enter the arena for the first time on Friday morning, you will immediately recognise that you are at something special. - Money back guarantee.

Tmizz- I am not at all exaggerating about the 40 feet and 15 feet. As a matter of fact, we plan to have the top of the landing ramp begin at 45 feet and taper to 55 or 60. Also, takoff is as smooth as glass. We actually built mock-ups off site for testing of all of the substantial jumps, so these numbers are a fact. We also have video for proof, but do not even ask.
