17mm is the way to go, cause thats what MOST everyone uses, so wheel options and wheel/tire swapping and trading is much easier...

there is no durabillity to using 23mm over 17mm and there are 3 reasons atleast to go 17mm 1. lighter = less rotating mass = faster otta the hole and all around
2.wide variety of wheels to choose from
3. YOU CAN RUN THE NEW LPR PRO-LINE tires

BTW the only durability would be if you running steel rims and need extra strength but im sure you would break something else first
but if your just doing the normal then there is know difference

and yes ive ran 23mm and 17mm so i have an idea

i have, but only on buggy wheels...17mm, but did you mean the Al piece on the upright or the plastic on the wheel???

i run a 5T, and guess i would never think about replacing the 17mm with 23mm ones, but to each there own...some guys just think bigger is better (stronger)...
