I think Rick is right here. AE supports their race vehicles VERY well through their racing team. Just because they produce RTRs doesnt mean that they are no longer serious about racing. They're just serious about racing AND making money now.

The very same thing can be said for Losi. Just because the A-Mains aren't stacked with Losi guys like they used to be in the late 90's and early 2000's, does not mean they have given up on competitive racing. The market has changed, and in my opinion, AE and Losi are functioning very similarly right now - releasing new competitive racing kits, as well as RTR's and micro's that help many people get into the hobby. People can say whatever they want about the Horizon deal, but it's just blanketing the fact that the Racing scene is not what it used to be - and currently the number of RTR's going out of hobby shop doors far, FAR exceeds the race-bred kits.

BTW - congrats Mark, good luck in your new position.

Can you expain this statement a little bit better. I can not see how AE has done anything but grown their Off Road team? Look at the talent Maifield, Cav, Tebo, 51, Howart, The King, Rouna, Craig, Dresher, Ganoe (Local racer)and many more that I can not spell.

The only one missing is me but that is a different story J/K

The On Road Team is getting stronger as well.

I think the times have changed and AE is doing well and will continue to grow. They just released the RC8, B44 this year as well as the TC5. Not to bad for them. I think the RC8T is coming soon.

Also who won the electric IFMAR Worlds in a slam dunk fashion... no need to answer AE

Mark,

As always you are good friend and I wish you luck with the new Job. How is the family?
