all i ever broke on my jato was a-arms, turnbuckles, spur gears, and after the TRX 2.5 went out i put a 3.3 in it....and stripped out first and second gear.

Lol, I was breaking parts on a fairly regular basis. The worst was at a park and nailed a curb a second or so after hitting second gear.. Fortunately, traxxas parts are inexpensive, it only did about $50 worth of damage. Thing was horrible on an off road track though, I had the 3.3. I sold it and got a tmaxx, was much happier.

Sold the tmaxx and got a revo, and was very happy.

Sold the revo and got a Mugen, and have yet to break anything, and it is by far the best rc I have owned/driven.

Default Matters

My cousin has one of these and it is a great RC car to just smash around but its not very suitable for the race track to much torque for to little weight. It's very fun though I mean if its going to be a backyard track I recommend the truck. This thing does not break, trust me the way my cousin drives hes landed into a wall off a jump and rebounded off of it and kept going. Great car for fun but not racing

Well, our 1st race meeting for the year has been run and won, BY MY JATO!!!!
We didnít have the biggest field but we had a 2.5 Jato, my 3.3 Jato a HPI Fire storm, one old GT and a brand new GT2
We run 2 X 5 min qualifiers and then 2 X 15 min finals, we add the laps and times for the 2 finals to give the placings for the day.
The 3.3 is way over powered for racing, thatís the very 1st thing I found, the GT had it all over me with putting the power to the ground smoothly and without lighting up the tires. In both finals the GTís had got away from me by about Ĺ a lap and I couldnít pull them back. But then (as if the Jato gods were watching) one broke and the other flamed out!!!! In both Finals!!!! And the Jato just kept on rolling on. Had to feel sorry for them coz they were well out in front but I not to proud to take the points hehehehe
